Adoption Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age

  • No children in the home under the age of 13

  • If renting, permission from your landlord to have a dog.  We will call the landlord to confirm the pet policy
    (Note: large dog adoptions require home ownership)

  • Live within a 50 mile radius of the Bay Area

  • Allow a home visit before the dog is placed for a sleepover

  • Sufficient source of income to support the financial costs of owning a dog

  • Be willing and able to spend the time and money necessary to provide the proper care for your companion dog including food, shelter, veterinary care, grooming, training and loving attention for the duration of its life

  • Understand that the Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs reserves the right to deny any adoption application

  • We don’t typically adopt our small dogs out to homes with large dogs.

  • We don’t adopt our young dogs out to senior households.

  • **** PLEASE NOTE! **** any potential adopter of a large breed dog (including pitbull mixes) is required to own their home - no renters. If the applicant lives with his/her parent(s), then the parent(s) will need to be the adopter. No exceptions, sorry for the inconvenience.

Adoption Process

Step 1.  Fill out an application

Step 2.  Application reviewed by an adoption counselor

Step 3.  If tentatively approved, the adoption counselor will schedule a home visit

Step 4.  After the home visit checks out, take the dog on a “sleepover”

Step 5.  Sign the final adoption agreement and pay the adoption fees

(Adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchip)
